Leisure and hospitality grants – York & North Yorkshire

As part of the additional £1m financial support that the government announced in December, a number of local councils have opened applications from businesses in the leisure and hospitality sector that have been adversely impacted by the outbreak of the Omicron Covid-19 variant. Richmondshire District Council’s Small Business Grant

The next round of Richmondshire District Council’s Small Business Grant scheme is open for applications. The scheme has been established to encourage the formation of new enterprises and stimulate growth of established small businesses. The grants are targeted at new business start-ups and businesses less than 36 months old with no more than five employees. Full details and deadlines can be found here.

Ryedale small business development grant scheme

The Ryedale Small Business Development Grant Scheme has been developed by Ryedale District Council to help with start-up costs for new businesses or to assist existing businesses to grow and strengthen their market position, expand into new markets or to address recruitment or skill shortages.

City of York Council

The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) a one-off grant for businesses in the hospitality, leisure and accomodation sectors, announced in December in response to the effects of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. The OHLG applies from 21 December 2021 only and is not retrospective

Businesses must have been trading on 30 December 2021 to be eligible to receive funding under this scheme.

Harrogate Council 

Harrogate Council are working on the ARG (phase six) scheme for the Harrogate district, and will have further details in the coming weeks.

Hambleton District Council 

The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) is to support business rated premises in the Hambleton area, where the main service / activity (50% or more) is carried out at the rated premises and is in the hospitality, leisure, and accommodation sector as set by central government and listed on the page here
