Clean Air Zone planned for Bradford
Clean Air Zone for Bradford? Your views are sought. Businesses and residents in Bradford have until 26 March to comment on a CAZ in the city. It is expected that a scheme similar to that planned for Leeds will be developed (i.e. drivers of the most polluting vehicles pay a daily charge – probably taxis, buses, vans etc, but not private cars). A series of events are planned to explain proposals for the Clean Air Zone:
- Thursday 5 March – Hockney Room, Margaret McMillan Tower, Bradford, 1pm to 8pm
- Wednesday 11 March – Ilkley Town Hall council chamber, 4pm to 8pm
- Thursday 12 March – Meeting Rooms 1 & 2, Shipley Library, 1pm to 8pm

The plan also includes financial support for local residents and businesses to enable them to adapt to this change. These plans are being shaped by the views of local residents and businesses and will improve the environment for people in the district. We need everyone to play their part in making better choices when it comes to air pollution.”
