Chamber gets match-funding for more business space

West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has been awarded match European funding to develop additional offices and industrial units in Bradford. These serviced offices will be offered on flexible terms at the Chamber’s historic Victorian headquarters Devere House, in Little Germany, and will comprise twelve offices over two floors. The investment will also add three industrial units with mezzanine floors to the Chamber’s highly successful Business Park in Laisterdyke. The project will provide high quality space for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on easy-in, easy-out terms, allowing businesses to grow and benefit from Chamber services.   Research undertaken by the Chamber has shown that there is demand for high quality business space in Bradford. The high environmental specifications will include solar PV (Photovoltaic), electric vehicle charging points, use of recycled building materials and flood attenuation. Sandy Needham, Chief Executive, West & North Yorkshire Chamber said “The Chamber is delighted to have been awarded this funding to match our investment in property and is excited to offer businesses high specification offices and industrial units on flexible terms. By creating good business space, we are helping to ensure that growth happens in Bradford.” Work is expected to commence in June 2019 with completion scheduled for December 2019.
